Camera image is clearly defined at all depths within the same image. Screen is best above average size. In perfect condition. Very user friendly design large inner storage is excellent for the price. Afterpay is available for payment increments which really was the clincher for me. The phone is more lightweight than others I have used. I wish the battery lasted a bit longer but I have just studied the improve your battery life instructions and they are VERY helpful and I can see that battery life cannot be improved by my actions. See the advice on this site for all battery enhancements which are very pertinent to using your phone to it's best abilities.

The ordering process was great but the battery life on the device was less than I expected. I am trying to remove bloat and optimise but so far it is less than I expected

The Motorola Razr 40 stands out with its modern foldable design, offering a compact phone that opens into a full-sized touchscreen. About two generations behind the latest Razr, this 2023 model remains relevant for users curious about the flip-phone comeback—without ditching smartphone essentials. If you like a blend of nostalgia and function, this one bridges the gap.

Who is this for?

The Motorola Razr 40 is for those who value portability and unique design, but don’t want to compromise on daily usability. It’s well-suited for trendsetters, minimalists, or anyone tired of oversized phones crowding pockets. While it’s less powerful than most flagship "flat" smartphones, it offers nostalgic style with practical Android smarts. Those prioritizing camera zoom or heavy gaming may want to consider traditional models like the Motorola Edge 40 Pro for more processing power.

Pros & Cons:

Pros	Cons
Ultra-compact foldable design for easy carrying.	Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip is mid-range, not for intensive gaming.
144Hz AMOLED main display is smooth and vibrant.	External cover screen is smaller and less functional than on some competitors.
Main camera delivers solid everyday shots.	No telephoto lens—zoom capabilities are basic.
5G and Wi-Fi 6 ensure fast connectivity.	Plastic inner screen may require extra care.
