The Nokia G22 is a user-friendly, repair-ready smartphone launched in early 2023. It’s built for those who like things simple, reliable, and easy to maintain. While two generations old in 2025, this practical device stands out for its sustainable design and clean Android interface—nothing too flashy, just what you need to get through your day, and yes, with a headphone jack still hanging around (finally!).
Key features:- Release Date: February 2023
- Display: 6.52-inch IPS LCD, HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels)
- Processor: Unisoc T606 (octa-core)
- Camera: Triple rear cameras: 50MP main, 2MP macro, 2MP depth
- Operating System: Ships with Android 12 (stock, upgradable)
- Connectivity: 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0
- Build: Durable plastic frame and back, Gorilla Glass 3 front
The Nokia G22 is tailored for users who value durability, straightforward use, and repairability over the latest bells and whistles. It’s a practical fit for students, seniors, or anyone needing an uncomplicated, everyday smartphone without the distraction of over-hyped features. If you care more about sustainable tech and less about TikTok trends, this one's for you. Compared to more premium Nokia models, the G22 gives up a bit on performance in exchange for easier repairs and a comfortingly basic vibe.
Pros & Cons:| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Repair-friendly design—easily swap out parts like the battery or screen. | Entry-level performance—not built for heavy gaming or advanced multitasking. |
| Large, readable display for calls, browsing, and maps. | HD+ resolution—so don’t expect ultra-crisp visuals (YouTube 4K fans, look elsewhere). |
| Clean Android interface with minimal bloatware. | No 5G support, so it’s strictly old-school on connectivity. |
