I was worried that Adobe PS and IL would have problems with 8G of RAM, but I bought it thinking that the internal SSD (so-so fast) would be able to handle it with room to spare. both PS and IL were just fine for working with about 10 files open, which is not very large. (I don't handle video). 　I think it's powerful enough for work between hobby and hard work, and it doesn't need 16G of RAM.
